Suok Noh joined Redbadge as a Venture Partner to help build out Redbadge Pacific’s platform in Asia. Previously, Suok spent over 25 years in Goldman Sachs, starting his career in the Mortgage Securities Department as a strategist and later as Managing Director overseeing various successful businesses within the Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities Division, making significant contributions to the firm.
After structuring numerous asset-backed securities transactions, he became a founding member of the Asian Special Situation Group (ASSG), which invests in distressed asset-backed receivables and corporate debt. While with ASSG, he led the team that became the first distressed debt investor both in Korea and Thailand. He then returned to New York to build the secondary market trading team for the credit derivatives business. He returned to the Mortgage Department to manage the structuring & analytics team, asset management team, and other trading businesses before retiring from Goldman Sachs in 2016.
Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Suok was a software engineer for Allied Signal Aerospace, where he led the research and development of digital map display systems for military aircrafts. He holds an B.S. and M.S. in computer science from Stevens Institute of Technology.
Souk currently serves in a leadership role with multiple nonprofit organizations, including the Korean American Community Foundation (KACF) and the Network of Korean-American Leaders (NetKAL).
